Notes @ Noon concert series features Cynthia Doggett set for Oct. 6

Central College’s music department has a new Notes @ Noon concert series starting this fall, in which faculty members will perform hour-long recitals.

Cynthia Doggett, assistant professor of music, will give the second recital Monday, Oct. 6, in Cox-Snow Recital Hall. The concert begins at noon and is free and open to the public.

Doggett will perform works for clarinet by Stravinsky, Sutermeister, Arnold and Jud Bracey. All of these works are from the 20th or 21st century. The two unaccompanied pieces explore the wide range, in both pitch and dynamics, possible on the clarinet. She will be accompanied by Carol lei Breckenridge, Farver Professor of Music. The concert is free and open to the public.
