Trout delivery

For the first time ever, trout — two kinds, brook and rainbow — came to the campground pond in Ottumwa Park. They didn’t swim in. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources delivered them Saturday morning for the Ottumwa Trout Fishing event. Dipping out the trout was Melanie Harkness, a DNR fisheries technician, and she handed off the net to Mark Flammang, DNR fisheries biologist, who emptied the net into a tub. Then he and Bruce Ellison (not shown), a DNR fisheries technician, emptied the tubs into the pond.
