Pella Election Results

Pella — There were no contested races in the City of Pella's election, but here are the numbers. 

City Council At Large-Mark De Jong received 271 votes and there were 11 write-ins. There were 287 of an eligible 7,678 voters who took part in this election, or 3.7 percent.

City Council Ward One-Dan L. Vander Beek received 62 votes and there were four write-ins. Of the 2,094 eligible voters, 70 voted, or 3.3 percent.

City Council Ward Three-Bruce Schiebout received 83 votes and there were three write-ins. 4.1 percent of eligible voters took part in the election, with 88 ballots cast of an eligible 2,132. 

Marion County Auditor Jake Grandia said the election went smoothly. Results are unofficial until the Board of Supervisors' canvass, scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 12.
