Marion and Marilyn Vander Linden will celebrate 60 years of marriage on March 11, 2010. They have 6 children, 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Their children are: Michael (Peggy), Merry (Claude), Detroit, MI; Marlys, Shipshewana, IN; Marshall (Shar), Des Moines; Melanie (Scott), Troy, OH and Mark, Des Moines. Their grandchildren are: Logan, (30), Harmony (27), Travis (20), Kaitlin (18) and Hannah (14). Their great-grandchildren are: Nadirah (5), Zoey (2) and Diyari (10 months).

3M Donates to Lake Association
Representatives from 3M, the Red Rock Lake Association, the US Army Corps of Engineers and Central College gathered at North Overlook Campground this morning as 3M presented a $30,000 donation to a cooperative natural playscape project.

Marine weds high school sweetheart before deployment
Wesley Hoksbergen and Taylor Carter of Pella were wed around 3:15 p.m. Friday afternoon in a civil ceremony. Wesley is on his way to North Carolina to rejoin his Marine unit, and is preparing to deploy to Afghanistan in the Spring.
