Brothers share proud moment

North Carolina — United States Marine Corporal James Sperr, formerly of Knoxville, recently had the privilege of placing the pin on his brother, Jacob, who was promoted to the same rank.

James is stationed in California, but was able to spend some time in North Carolina with Jacob and their parents, Jim and Brenda Sperr.

While there, Jacob was scheduled to be promoted to Corporal. Jacob requested that his brother do the honors of pinning him with the new rank.

Brenda Sperr said traveling across the country was just the ticket for these brothers to take part in this special occasion.
