House fire leaves family in need

The Rogers family, who lost everything following a house fire on Oct. 3 of their residence south of Plano, are requesting donations of some household items.

Theresa Rogers Friday afternoon said the family lost everything, but since the fire they have accumulated enough clothing through various outlets, but they are still in need of other household items.

“It’s been a rough couple of weeks,” she said. “It has not been a fun couple of weeks.”

Theresa said the family is staying at her father-in-law’s house. She said they hope to get into the new house they started building prior to the fire by Christmas.

The Rogers family includes Theresa, husband Tom and daughter Evelyn, 15.
