VIDEO: World's smallest movie

The Molecular Level — When the people at IBM decide to make something for the small screen, they don't mess around.

Make that the really, really, really small screen.

The short “A Boy and His Atom,” is officially the smallest movie ever made. It has to be magnified 100 million times before it can be seen by the human eye.

Researchers at IBM created the stop-motion film by manipulating atoms with a scanning tunneling microscope. It's not Pixar and probably won't be nominated for any Oscars, but it is a remarkable technical achievement.
