Hunter Education Course scheduled

The Marion County Sportsman’s Club, the Marion County Conservation Board and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources is sponsoring a Hunter Education course August 14 and 16, 2008 to be held at the M. C. Sportsman’s Club facility east of Knoxville.

The class, required of all Iowa hunters born after January 1, 1972 is from 6:00 to 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 14 and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2008. There is no cost to students, but need to bring a sack lunch on Saturday.

In order to receive certification, students must attend both sessions. Pre-registration is required and there will be required, pre-class work.

This class will fill fast. We will take registration until Tuesday, August 12 unless it fills prior to that date.

Please register and pick up your homework materials at the Marion County Recorder’s Office., 2nd Floor Courthouse, Knoxville. M-F 8:00-4:30 p.m. If you have questions or concerns, please call John Mertz at (641) 891-2004.
