Dr. Nancy Vander Broek is 2011 Shining Star of the Year

Pella — Dr. Nancy Vander Broek, Pella Medical Clinic; was recently selected by co-workers as the 2011 Shining Star of the Year at Pella Regional Health Center.

Vander Broek was Shining Star of the Month in December. Shining Star is a reward and recognition program at Pella Regional designed to acknowledge an employee each month that demonstrates outstanding standards of behavior and inspires others to do their best. At the end of the year one of the Shining Star of the Month recipients is then chosen by Pella Regional employees as Shining Star of the Year.


One excerpt from her nomination form said:

“Something that stands out for me is her passion with her patients—Dr. Nancy goes above and beyond in her care and compassion!”

Vander Broek receives an Employee of the Year plaque, a $250 gift and a professional photo displayed in the hospital. Dr. Nancy donated her $250 gift to Hospice of Pella at Pella Regional.
