Letter to the editor

Pella — To the editor,

My husband and I had to share why Dr. Yordy of Tri-County Vet Clinic and all his great staff are a gift to Pella.

Recently, we had to put one of our 4-legged children to sleep.  It had to be done rather suddenly, but we decided that taking him to our out-of-town vet would be too much for him.  We called Tri-County Vet Clinic on a Monday morning.  Even though we had never been a ‘patient’ of theirs, they said they would come later that afternoon.

Before noon, our boy “Butch” needed emergency help.  We called the clinic and explained that our 100-pound boy was having seizures and couldn’t get up.  The assistant called Dr. Yordy, and called back immediately saying as soon as the doctor was back in the office he would grab what he needed and get to our home ASAP.

Doing all of this without knowing us or our pets is awesome.  We can’t begin to express what compassion he and his staff had for us and what a blessing it was to our family.  He showed us how much they care throughout our experience, and surprised us with a paw print they had made for us when all was said and done.

Even though this was a hard time for us and a sad experience, we continue to share with everyone we know that, because of the Tri-County Vet Clinic, we are left with great comfort.

Thanks to Dr. Yordy and all his staff, who are a blessing to our family.

Shannon and Christy Krivanek

Pella
