City employees recognized for years of service

Pella — Earlier this fall, Mayor Darrell Dobernecker presented length of service awards to a number of City of Pella employees at the annual Employee Recognition Breakfast sponsored by the City’s Employee Relations Committee.  Special recognition was given to employees who reached their 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35 year anniversaries with the City.

A special honor for thirty-five years of service was awarded to Verlan Mathes, Power Plant. Also honored was Randy Van Maaren, Power Plant, for his thirty years of employment.  

Beth Spoelstra, Electric Distribution, was recognized for twenty-five years of service. Employees with twenty years of service included Sid Bruxvoort, Marj Farmer, Brent Schroder, and Herman Van Mersbergen.

Employees with fifteen years of service included Mike Brown, Blain De Heer, Steven Weinmeister, and Dale Witzenburg.  

Mark Bruxvoort, Shane Cox, Jill De Vries, Don Gosselink, Eric Hall and Vivian Vriezelaar were recognized for ten years of service.  Employees with five years of service included Jeff Abell, Angela Alsum, Justin Bailey, Victoria Beerends, Sheila Bossard, Benjamin Hedrick, Sarah Kingrey, Daniela Martisovitsova, Shawn Nunnikhoven, Rob Riggen, Holly Smith, Christine Van Hemert and Jesse Wineland.
