Vriendschap Village hosts students for Valentine's Day

The question, “What does love mean?” can be answered hundreds of ways, but when Vriendschap Village hosted Madison Elementary’s kindergarten classes to celebrate Valentine’s Day, the answers were innocent as ever and humorous to most of the community’s residents.

The kindergarteners enjoyed an afternoon at Vriendschap Village to sing, read and exchange Valentine’s with the residents. When asked, “What does love mean?” the student’s answers ranged from, “It means you’re happy” to as simple as “It means you care about someone!”

“We had such a great time celebrating Valentine’s Day with the students,” said Inde Miller, Executive Director. “They’re welcome back anytime of the year because our residents loved having them!”
