April Lake Red Rock programs

The Pella Chronicle

---- — April 12 - Snake “Lunch Time” - 1:00 p.m. - Red Rock Visitor Center

It’s a feeding day at the visitor center! Stop by to learn about the visitor center’s resident snakes and watch them have a bite to eat!

Sat., April 19 - Let’s Go Muddin’! - 10:00 a.m.- Lake Red Rock’s new “Playscape” (Meet at the North Overlook beach in the north end of the parking lot)

Who doesn’t love to get down and dirty in the outdoors! In this program, we will be on a quest to discover all sorts of creatures which like to live in dirty environments, such as under rocks and logs, in the dirt, and in wetlands. You may get a little dirty in the process, so please wear old clothes for the fun!

Programs are free of charge and no reservations are needed. Outdoor programs may be cancelled if raining. For more information, contact the Corps of Engineers office at (641) 828-7522 or (641) 628-8690.
