Chronicle Website of Year

The Pella Chronicle received a special visit last week in honor of being named Website of the Year by Community Newspaper Holdings, Inc (CNHI). CNHI CEO Donna Barrett and COO Steve McPhaul arrived in the Pella office from corporate headquarters Montgomery, Ala. to present the trophy in person.

“To have been chosen from a field of over 40 similar-sized newspapers within our company is a great honor,” Barrett said, in presenting the award. “I am so proud of the Chronicle staff in achieving this award. They are continually working to upgrade the Pella Chronicle website to provide informative and entertaining stories, pictures and videos for our online customers. To have been recognized from among our peers as the best of the best is high praise.”

Pella Chronicle Publisher, Maureen Miller, was also thrilled.

“In the past several months we have made continuous improvement to our website, allowing us to provide timely content, pictures and video coverage that enhance our weekly newspaper,” Miller said. “Our readers know they can rely on the Pella Chronicle for up-to-the-minute coverage of the events that are important to them, delivered to them in print, digital, and special products. I am excited that an exceptional panel of judges chose the Pella Chronicle website as the best from among almost 50 papers of similar size in our company and proud of our hard-working staff.
