While the holidays are the time to get together with family, it can also be a time when adult children realize their parent’s memory is not what it used to be. Vriendschap Village invites the public to a Memory Care open house on Thursday, December 27 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. to provide assistance and guidance for people with loved ones who are dealing with any form of memory loss.
“This time of the year is wonderful, but it can also be a time of stress when families notice a change in their loved ones. Many may question the differences between normal aging and memory loss concerns. That’s why we invite individuals and families to our Memory Care open house,” said Brenda Colvin, executive director. “If you have any questions, or even if you just aren’t sure what to ask, we’re here to help.”
Vriendschap Village will host coffee time and give complimentary copies of the book, My Past is Now My Future – A Practical Guide to Dementia Possible Care written by Lanny Butler, MS, ORT and Kari Brizendine, PT, while supplies last.
It is not necessary to RSVP for this event. For more information, visit www.watermarkcommunities.com/VriendschapVillage/.
