Mertz to speak at MCHS meeting

The Marion County Historical Society meets on Oct. 21 at 7:30 p.m., at the Methodist Church Activity Center on Robinson St., Knoxville. Marla Mertz will present an update on changes being made at the Marion County Park and the Horn’s Ferry Bridge site.

General meetings of the MCHS are open to the public and are held monthly on the third Monday of the month from March through November. The final meeting of the year on Nov. 18 will be election of officers for 2014.
