Vriendschap Village celebrates 10 year anniversary

Pella — Vriendschap Village retirement community of Pella, Iowa celebrates their 10 year anniversary this month.

“We celebrate the accomplishments made in the last 10 years and we look forward another 10,” said Brenda Colvin, executive director. “We have quite a few big projects coming up, including Watermark University and countless fun events happening each month to make our residents happy and healthy.”

Most recently, Vriendschap Village had their annual review with the Department of Inspections and Appeals,   which provided them with a perfect score and an excellent bill of health.

Unique to senior living communities, residents Forrest and Gerdena Roorda have made Vriendschap Village their home for 10 years.

“My wife and I have enjoyed making this our home. We have more freedom and security living here than we would at our old house,” said resident Forrest Roorda. “It’s a quiet, restful place to live, with great week-by-week programs and a good sense of community. We’re glad to celebrate the community’s anniversary and our ten great years here.”
