Pella — July 3 Lake Red Rock presents Create a Mosiac for the Playscape

Help mosaic some unique "stepping stones" that will someday be added as an artistic element to the new Playscape!  (limited supply of stepping stones available - please call the Corps office to register for the activity.) At 1 pm, Visitor's Center. Programs are free of charge. For more information/ to register, contact the Corps of Engineers office at (641) 628-8690.



July 3 Thursdays in Pella: Summerfest

Enjoy live entertainment, activities for kids, food vendors, displays, and more in downtown Pella. Each Thursday will begin activities at 6 pm and will feature a city band performance at 8 pm. Activities are free or have very minimal cost. Enjoy all the fun of summer with our Summerfest-themed Thursday! Tug of war (sign up your team of 5!), ice cream eating contests, inflatables and more! Stay up a little later to watch an outdoor movie after City Band: Sing along with Anna and Elsa in their icy animated adventure hit! July 3 Lake Red Rock Presents Nature's Fireworks: Fireflies

The brilliant flashes of fireflies brighten the warm summer nights and offer a wonderful display! Take a walk in search of "nature's "fireworks" and learn a bit about the insects that create the show! At 9 pm, Howell Station Campground. Programs are free of charge. Outdoor activities may be cancelled if raining or inclement weather.  For more information, contact the Corps of Engineers office at (641) 628-8690.

 

July 4 Independence Day Activities in Pella
9:00-1:00 Tours of Vermeer Windmill, Historical Village, Museum Store
9:30-11:30 am Fishing at Caldwell Park (fishing poles and bait provided)
9:30 am-1:00 pm Pony rides in Central Park
10:00 am-1:00 pm Tours of Scholte House and Gardens (serving lemonade and cookies in the gardens)
11:00 am-1:00 pm Games and Activities in Central Park (Frog jumping contests, ladder golf, gunny sack races, Badminton, Bean Bag toss, dunk tank, inflatables- sponsored by Marion County Bank)
