Pella preps for RAGBRAI

Pella — Pella isn't an overnight stop for this year's RAGBRAI, but it sits right on the route from Knoxville to Oskaloosa. There are some things the city needs to do to prepare, and volunteers are wanted.

Thousands of riders will roll through Pella on July 25. Several blocks around the city square will be closed for the event.

Here are three documents to help explain what's planned. The route letter outlines some basic information to help keep residents and riders safe. There's also a map of the route, so you'll know what areas are most likely to have bikers.

The third document is a volunteer signup sheet. Hosting this many people means Pella residents need to lend a hand. If you can help, here's the starting point.
