The Cottages on track to welcome their first residents in December

The Cottages, an innovative community of small households designed to redefine the meaning of home by emphasizing healthy living and supporting the independence of older adults, is on track to welcome its first residents in early December. The first household–Friesland Assisted Living–will be home for residents in time for Christmas.

The main entrance to The Cottages includes a covered drop-off and pick-up area. While most visitors will use the front door to each household to visit loved ones, the main entrance will be the entry point for the general public while attending community events.

The fireplace and hearth area of the Groningen household is pictured. Each of the Household Living cottages, in addition to the Household Living Memory Support and Assisted Living Memory Support cottages, will have an area very similar to what is pictured.
