Accident last night

Marion County — At approximately 8:22 P.M. on 9-24-13, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a single car accident with injuries.  The Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 1900 block of 120th Ave and located a 2006 Honda Civic in the ditch.  An investigation showed the driver, Charlie Wright (36 year old female), was traveling southbound on 120th avenue when she lost control of the vehicle and entered the ditch.  The driver was transported to Mercy hospital in Des Moines by Mercy helicopter.  The passenger, Daniel Smith (38 year old male), was transported to Knoxville Hospital by Knoxville Rescue.  Daniel was treated and released from Knoxville Hospital.  Charlie is listed in stable condition at Mercy Hospital.

Knoxville Township Fire Department, Knoxville Fire and Rescue, and Iowa State Patrol also responded to the accident.
