This year’s theme is “Appel Pluk,” and in celebrating that the storefront competition will use apples as inspiration.

This is a family friendly event that is has something for everyone! Admission is only $5.00 per family or $2.00 per person. Events include: wine, beer, chocolate and cheese kickoff night, Dutch artisan demonstrations, an apple themed bake-off, apple themed games, Pofferjes and much more!

“We are confident that with the help of the local stores and their excitement for the festival, this year’s festival will be a great success,” said Kathy Miller, Executive Director at Pella Historical Society & Museum. “We are also hosting some new events and expect to bring a bigger and more diverse group of people to this year’s Fall Festival,”

Pella store owners are asked to use items from their store along with apples and apple themed utensils to create a one-of-a-kind store front window display. The winning prize goes to the store front with the highest score in three categories: Most creative, best use of apples and best use of store merchandise.
