Pella's Farmer's Market is held at First Reformed Church every Thursday from 3-6 pm. Great plants and spring products!  Some new vendors- and trusted veterans, too!

Thursdays in Pella

Most Thursdays in June and July your Pella Chamber of Commerce and other area businesses partner up to host weekly events for the whole community! Each night features a different theme, entertainment, food vendors, city band concerts, and lots of fun for the whole family. The themes for the evenings are as follows: 

June 6: Celebrating Pella's Families

June 13: Paws N' Claws (Pet night) 

June 20: Non-Profit Night

June 27: Ag in the City

July 4: No Thursdays in Pella, please enjoy Independence Day festivities

July 11: The Air, the Rare, the Fair on the Square

July 18: Healthy Living

July 25: No Thursdays in Pella, please enjoy RAGBRAI festivities during the day hours

 

Friday After 5

Live Bands + Patio + Drinks + Summer + Great Company = A great way to end the week! Young Professionals of Pella are hosting this event, but anyone age 21+ are encouraged to attend! Bring a friend or make new ones. $5 admission covers live music and appetizers; cash bar available.  

June 7 from 7-10 pm, Molengracht Plaza. Performing: Fully Loaded 

Saturday July 13 from 7-10 pm, North Overlook Beach (part of Balloon Fest events, free, open to all ages). Performing: Jefferson County Green Band 

August 9 from 7-10 pm, Molengracht Plaza. Performing: TBD  

 

4th of July

Pella celebrates the 4th of July with a parade and fireworks! Come join in the festivities! The parade will be held downtown at 1:30 pm with fireworks in the evening. Fireworks are lit near Madison Elementary.  Other activities scheduled all day. 

 

Red Rock Balloon Fest

July 12-14: Come enjoy the beauty of hot air balloons as they lift off and participate in several races over the course of this weekend! Many additional activities, including a fun run, pancake breakfast, beach party, canoeing, and more. Fun for the whole family! More details to follow.

 

RAGBRAI

Iowa's famous annual week-long bike ride across Iowa will be passing through Pella on Thursday, July 25! You won't want to miss the sight of these bikers nor the entertainment, vendors, and music of the morning. Whether you are volunteering or just hanging out, it will be a really good time!
