Chemical cleanup day April 6

Pella — Have chemicals at home that don't belong there? A cleanup weekend could help.

Marion County is holding a free household chemical collection day for county residents. It's Saturday, April 6 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Pella Public Works complex.

The range of chemicals being accepted is broad and they have real uses around the house. But once they've served their purpose, leftovers can pose a hazard.

Below is a quick rundown of the event and the chemicals being accepted.There's also a list of what cannot be accepted.
