Flying Pans Steel Drum Band to play at Tulip Time

The Central College Flying Pans will perform at the Pella Opera House during Tulip Time.

The Flying Pans will perform the energetic and soothing sounds of the steel drum, featuring calypso, soca, Latin, jazz and rock. Under the direction of Stan Dahl, assistant professor of music, the band will play a medley of songs from previous concerts during the academic year. Pieces include “Black Magic Woman,” “Barnum and Bailey’s Favorite” and original songs by Dahl.

The Flying Pans will play on Saturday, May 4 at 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $8. Call the Pella Opera House at 641-628-8625 for tickets.
