City Band is starting rehearsals June 5; concert June 6

The Pella City Band will begin its annual Summer Concert Series with a rehearsal on June 5. The first concert in Central Park will be held June 6.

Every summer the City Band presents a variety of music including marches, Broadway musicals, contemporary overtures, pop tunes, Big Band era, and more. The Summer Band Concert in the park continues a musical heritage in Pella that dates back to the post-Civil War era and continues to this day. The rehearsals are held on the Pella High School Auditorium stage Wednesday evenings at 7:00 and the concerts are presented on the back of the Tulip Toren stage Thursday evenings at 8:00.
