Four Pella Regional Nurses Honored with DAISY Award

Pella —

Pella Regional Health Center is proud to announce that Carrie Kelderman in Obstetrics, Sandy Lanser in Surgery, Greg Opseth in Skilled and Mark Orr in Home Health and Hospice were DAISY winners for 2013. The DAISY program is a national award, given at the local level, to registered nurses who exemplify extraordinary nursing. The focus is on the special touches and human consideration that these nurses give to their patients.
On May 8 Pella Regional nurses gathered together to recognize the 2013 nominees and winners and to celebrate the nursing profession. Co-workers and patients nominated Pella Regional nurses who exemplify someone who give a special compassionate touch to those she/he meets and cares for.
Other nurses nominated for the DAISY award include Sherri Church, Wanda Coleman, Marty Den Hartog, Elizabeth Gates, Janice Graham, Emily Haase, Tracy Hall, Leisha Huyser, Robin Nossaman, Cathy Robinson, Christina Sailors, Marcia Schut, Lisa Tucker and Lori Van Hal.
