September 5 The Well Resource Center Open House 

Come to the Well Resource Center at 604 Liberty Street Suite 131 in Pella for an Open House Celebration from 4-7 pm! Refreshments will be served. Learn about this community resource that offers help and hope to people in need.





September 5 Central College presents Guest Concert

Jerzy Kornowicz, guest artist, will be performing from 5:30-6:30 pm in Cox-Snow Recital Hall.





September 5 Square Dance Demonstration

September 5 Bingo Night

Bingo is starting up again for the year! This is an awesome weekly event with proceeds benefiting St. Mary's Catholic Church. Children 10-17 welcome with an adult. It is held every Thursday from 6:30-9 pm at 1203 Peace Street (old church). Game prices range from $0.50 to 2.00 a game or $17 for a game packet. September 6 Alzheimer Support Group 

This Alzheimer's Support Group supports caregivers, family members and friends of a loved one with memory problems. Trained Alzheimer's Support Group Facilitators Nancy Van Wyk, RN, and Amy Stoltzfus, MSW of Hearthstone lead the group. The discussion this month is "Best Living Option for your Loved One to Thrive." At Pella Manor East Social Room at 1:30 pm.





September 6 Tassel Ridge Winery presents Wine and Pasta Date Night

Make it a Date Night at Tassel Ridge Winery! Wine tasting starts at 6 pm, and then head over for dinner at 6:30 with an Italian Salad featuring Romaine, Tomatoes, Black Olives, Red Onions, Banana Peppers, and Italian Dressing paired with Tassel Ridge Candlelight. Chef Heather will then prepare your pasta to order. Choose Shrimp Scampi with Angel Hair or Pasta Puttanesca with Penne paired with a glass of your favorite Tassel Ridge wine. We recommend Tassel Ridge American Chardonnay with the Scampi and Tassel Ridge Pizzeria & Pasta Too!® with the Puttanesca. September 7 Pella Christian Grade School Back to School Dash 5k Walk/Run

Race to benefit Pella Christian Grade School! Register now: Shirts only guaranteed if registration is received by August 26. Otherwise day-of registration is from 7-8:30am at the Pella Christian High School. Race starts at 9 am at the Pella Christian High School and ends at the same location. Timing tags will be attached to the race number.  Entry fee $25/person or $75/household. Pancake breakfast served from 6:30-10:30 am. September 7 de Bloemen Hof presents Jams and Jellies Class

September 7 PRHC's Comfort House 10 Year Celebration

Pella Regional Health Center invites the public to attend a special event honoring the Comfort House's ten years of service to the Pella Community. This celebration will be held from 11:30am-1:30pm on the South lawn of the Comfort House, 505 Union Street. A free picnic lunch and cake will be available for the first 250 people. This event will provide an opportunity to celebrate and thank the community as well as Hospice staff and volunteers, and also to remember the many patients and families who have been served. September 10 Art Center Adult Class: Make A Mug!

September 13 Tassel Ridge Winery presents Wine and Burger Night

It's off to the apple barn! Tonight's burger is a Chicken Apple Burger topped with Granny Smith Apple Slices and served on a Toasted Whole Wheat Bun with a side of Coleslaw and a glass of your favorite Tassel Ridge wine (we recommend Tassel Ridge Iowa Brianna). For dessert, cool off with Chocolaterie Stam's refreshing Wine Gelato made with a specially selected Tassel Ridge wine. From 5:30-7pm with burgers served until 7. September 14 Kids Camp by Total Outdoorsmen

Come enjoy God's creation with us as we learn together about being good stewards of his work! Featuring live wildlife from Pella Wildlife Company, crafts and prizes. At Federated Fellowship Church from 1-3 pm. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Be sure to bring your camera!





September 14 Pella Christian High School Open House

Join Pella Christian High School in celebration of their debt-free campus goal with refreshments, a presentation and a tour of the new facilities! Open house is from 9am-11:30am, with a presentation at 10:30 am at Pella Christian High School, 300 Eagle Lane. Open to the public. www.pceagles.org.





September 14 Families First presents Book Bash

Join Families First of Pella at the Pella Public Library, 10-11:30 am, for a morning filled with crafts, activities and information for parents. The first 75 families with a child age 0-5 will receive a free copy of the book "Little Critter Colors" by Mercer Mayer!





September 14 De Bloemen Hof presents Colorful Mixed Container Combinations Autumn Workshop

Join us for a gardener's therapy session and spruce up our summer planters with autumn's wonderful colors. Bring your pots with you and we'll help you create a masterpiece.
