Pella Farmer's Market  

Pella's Farmer's Market is held at First Reformed Church every Thursday from 3-6 pm and Saturday from 9am-12pm. Great plants and produce!  Some new vendors, and trusted veterans, too!

      

June 18- September 20 Joyce Kolenbrander Exhibition at the Joan Kuyper Farver Gallery  

Joyce Kolenbrander is a Chicago native who has lived, worked and shown art in New York (Including at the Agora Gallery in Soho), New Jersey, Illinois and Iowa. Now retired, she lives and works in Pella, Iowa. She works with ink, oil, graphite, watercolor, montage, wood and photography- whatever a given subject seems to require. Her work will be on display at the Joan Kuyper Farver Art Gallery from June 18-September 20, with the gallery open M-F from 7:30 am to 4:15 pm.

 
Team Registration for Adult Volleyball

The Pella Community Services Department is taking team registrations for their adult volleyball leagues. Women, games on Mondays, and Co-ed, games on Thursdays, will begin play the first week of October. A minimum of 6 teams with a maximum of 12 teams per league. Registration fees will be determined by the number of teams that register. You may register by calling the Community Services Department at 641-628-4571 or e-mail bross@cityofpella.com. Deadline to register a team is Friday, September 20, 2013.



Registration for Pella Recreation Youth Basketball Program

Register today for this program for boys and girls currently in grades 3-6. The boys will start October 14 through December 14 with no practices or games the week of Thanksgiving. The girls will start January 6 through March 1. Each team, coached by parents, will practice one night a week on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday with games on Saturday. Coaches are also needed! Boys register now through September 27, girls register now through December 13 at the Community Services Office, 712 Union Street. Cost is $40 in city limits or $48 outside city limits. A late fee of $25 will be charged after the deadline.
