Supervisors approve resolution to transfer property

(Continued)

Knoxville —

Other Supervisors' notes:

• Approved a work beyond right of way agreement with Jason Rodgers.

• Tabled the designation of an Iowa Communities Assurance Pool liaison. Auditor Jake Grandia is on vacation, and Lorri Jahner, who has knowledge of this position, was ill. The board wanted to wait until at least one of them was present.

• The supervisors provided updates from their other, outside boards and commissions. Kingery reported that three companies have submitted proposals for the courthouse clock tower project. He also reported that there is “very little” asbestos in the Bussey Memorial Hall.

Supervisor Mark Raymie said that work is ongoing to establish a 28E agreement with Mahaska and Poweshiek counties to form a mental health district. This should be done in August.

Supervisor Craig Agan reported that the South Central Iowa Solid Waste Agency Board is continuing its search for a new director. Sara Bixby resigned the position to accept a job on the East Coast.

• The next regular Board of Supervisors meeting will be Tuesday, July 23, at 9 a.m.
