Sikkema in top 15 at Miss Iowa USA Pageant

---- — Carlyn Bradarich was crowned Miss Iowa USA 2014 at the conclusion of the state pageant held on October 13, 2013 in Newton Senior High School’s Center for Performance. She will represent the state of Iowa in the Miss USA 2014 pageant, scheduled for next summer at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Doral, Florida.

Others placing high at the Miss Iowa USA pageant were; 1st Runner-up Jesscia VerSteeg, 2nd Runner-up Alissa Morrison, 3rd Runner-up Gina Melchiorri, 4th Runner-up Dakota Crosswhite. Top 15 Semi-finalists also include: Stephanie Annen, Erica Lansman, Nicole Sikkema, Felicia White, Ashley Hoff, Kelsey Doehrmann, Jordan Foster, Krista Kolegraff, Caine Westergard and Kearsten Brown.

Sikkema has previously placed in the Miss Iowa USA pageant; Top 15 Semi-finalist 2011, 4th Runner-up 2012, and Miss Congeniality 2013.

“It was my fourth year competing in the Miss Iowa USA competition,” Sikkema said. “I ended up placing in the top 15 out of a total of 57 Miss Contestants. This year the Miss competition was by far the strongest it has ever been, so placing in the top 15 was a huge honor! I am looking forward to next year and hoping for even bigger things. Never give up on your dreams, because anything is possible.”
