Andringa inducted into the Manufacturing Hall of Fame

The Pella Chronicle

---- — Every year, IndustryWeek dedicates an issue of their magazine to leaders within manufacturing who have made sizable contributions to the industry. The likes of CEOs from Boeing, P&G, Ford, Apple and GE have been celebrated since the award’s inception in 2009.

Mary Andringa is one of eight to be inducted into the 2013 IndustryWeek Manufacturing Hall of Fame. Her contributions to Vermeer’s lean journey and her role in positioning the U.S. manufacturing industry for long-term success domestically and globally strongly influenced her induction into this elite group of manufacturing leadership. She is also the first female leader to receive this honor.

“Mary Vermeer Andringa has distinguished herself with her many lasting contributions to Vermeer Corp. and the U.S. manufacturing industry as a whole,” said Pete Fehrenbach, Associate Editor of IndustryWeek. “We’re honored to induct her into the IW Manufacturing Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2013.”
