Ruth Decker

Ruth Decker, 91, died September 21, 2008 at the TRA Hospice in Payson, AZ. Born in Otley, IA, she was the daughter of Ira and Sarah Vriezelaar of Pella. Mrs. Decker was the widow of the Rev. Forest L. Decker, a minister of the Reformed Church in America, and spent most of her life in New Jersey and New York where he served as pastor of five churches.

She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Decker and Christine Tiley, both of Payson, AZ; three granddaughters, Lisa Conley of Payson, AZ, Laura Smith of Phoenix, AZ and Anne Lubenow of Bethesda, MD, and six-great-grandchildren. A nephew, Keith Vriezelaar, is a resident of Pella.

A memorial service was held Oct. 20th at the Community Presbyterian Church in Payson, AZ. And interment was in Whiting, New Jersey.
