Ralph LeMay Jr.

Pella —

Ralph Brown LeMay Jr. was born to Ralph Sr. and Beloit LeMay in Houston, Texas on August 7th, 1942. After high school, Ralph ended his college career early to serve his country in Vietnam. After he returned, he went to work for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and moved near his parents outside of Huntsville, Texas. It was there that his son Ralph Bartlett LeMay was born. In 1982 Ralph met Vicki, and they married on April 30, 1983. In July 2000, Ralph retired and they moved to Pella, Iowa to be closer to Vicki’s family.

On March 28th, 2013, Ralph passed away at home of a heart attack. He left behind his wife Vicki, their two children Brittany and her husband Jason Bennett of Pella, and Joseph and his wife Alexandra LeMay of Oklahoma City, OK, his son Bart LeMay of Spring, Texas, two grandchildren Grace and Sophia, their mother Elizabeth Marks of Tomball, Texas, and his brother Charles Raymond LeMay of Houston, Texas. 

A celebration of his life will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday, April 4th, at New Covenant Church, 1512 West Madison Street, Knoxville, Iowa. The family will hold a memorial service and burial in Huntsville, Texas at a later date. Memorials can be made to Wounded Warriors, The Salvation Army, or The Correctional Peace Officers Association.
