Of his original family Bill leaves a sister-in-law, Beulah (Grandia) Roorda of Pella, a brother-in-law, Ronald Grandia and his wife, Dorothy, of Newton, Iowa; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Ardella, on August 3, 2003, and had faithfully attended to her limited visual needs following the loss of most of her vision in September, 1972. He was also preceded in death by his parents, John and Helena Gosselink, and his parents-in-law, Wm. F. and Dena Grandia; his three sisters: Lillian (John) Hiemstra, Dorothy (Fred) Veenstra, and Jennie (Albert) De Bruin; six brothers: Gerrit and Fred, who died in 1918, John H. ( Kathryn) Gosselink, Dick W. ( Theresa) Gosselink, Leonard J. (Mary and Jeanette) Gosselink and Henry G. (Anna Mae) Gosselink; and a brother-in-law, Vernon W. Roorda. Bill was a member of the Van Veen- Van Hemert American Legion Post No. 89 of Pella. He was a charter member of the Trinity Reformed Church in Pella, where he had served many years as an Elder and a Deacon. His unwavering faith in God was the foundation of his life.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the Trinity Reformed Church in Pella.  Arrangements were handled by Van Dyk – Duven Funeral Home.
