Monarch Watch: Butterfly Tagging Program

5:30 p.m. - South Tailwater Recreation Area (meet at parking lot closest to the picnic shelter)

Pella — Join the Monarch Watch volunteer effort!  We'll attempt to capture and tag some monarch butterflies as they pass through the Red Rock area during their fall migration.  Data from tagged butterflies may be used to help researchers track their journey to Mexico.  We'll be walking through a tallgrass prairie during this activity - Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes.  For more information, contact the Corp of Engineers office at (641) 828-7522 or (641) 628-8690.
