Lake Red Rock Update

Pella —

As of Monday, June 17, 2013, the following Corps of Engineers recreation areas are closed at this time: Whitebreast Beach, South Overlook Boat Ramp and a portion of the Volksweg Trail near Marina Cove.

Additionally, bacteria sampling at the North Overlook Beach continues to show elevated bacterial counts. The beach will remain to be posted "Swimming Not Recommended" until further testing indicates low bacteria counts. Test results from the main body of the lake had extremely low bacterial counts.
