Pella Band students participate in contest

On Saturday, February 22, 50 Pella High School Band Students traveled to Perry High School for the Perry Band Olympics Solo and Ensemble contest.

A total of 35 solo/ensemble entries received division I “Superior” ratings while 17 entries received division II “Excellent” ratings.

The following students received top 5 performance awards in their respective classifications:

Lucia Martisovitsova - 9/10 Tenor Sax Solo - 2nd Place

Macy Nossaman - 9/10 Trumpet Solo - 1st Place

Cole Siewert - 9/10 Trumpet Solo - 5th Place

Ben Vogel - 9/10 Euphonium Solo - 5th Place
