Dutch fall to Norwalk

---- — A scheduled Little Hawkeye Conference doubleheader at Norwalk was turned into a single game with the help of Mother Nature last Friday night in Norwalk.

The Warriors blanked the Dutch 6-0 as Taylor Goode fired a four-hit shutout at the Dutch.

Elyse Sadler took the loss in the circle for Pella High. She gave up nine hits in the game.

Pella’s hits were gathered by Sara Tallman with two, Allie DeMeulenaere and Sierra Williams each with one.

Norwalk put five runs on the board in the second inning of play and added the final run of the contest in the sixth.

The Warriors moved to 16-1 with the victory and to 6-0 in the Little Hawkeye Conference.

Pella fell to 5-9 overall and 3-2 in the league.

Up Next

The Dutch are scheduled to travel to the Ames Tournament Friday and Saturday.

Friday calls for the Dutch to face Perry and West Delaware. Saturday the Lady Dutch take on Ankeny and Ames.

Pella will return home Monday, June 24 to face the Grinnell Tigers in a varsity doubleheader starting at 6 p.m.

The Pella Christian rematch is set for Wednesday, June 26 at PC with the JV-Varsity twin bill starting at 6 p.m.
