---- — Danielle Stubbs takes over the reigns at Pella Christian for the varsity girls’ tennis program.

The Eagle coach has a total of 10 young ladies currently practicing with the varsity.

“I see our strengths as a team that works hard and has good chemistry,” Stubbs said.

She added, “A challenge we will face this season is the lack of experienced varsity singles players as only two returners played singles at the varsity level last year.”

In closing the coach stated,”I expect to see a lot of improvement as the season progresses. The girls are working really hard each practice to become better tennis players.”

The Eagles open at home tonight (Thursday) as they host the Oskaloosa Indians in a match set to start at 4:15 p.m.
