After splitting the first two games with the Knoxville Panthers the Pella Christian Eagles dug deep in games three and four to win 3-1.
The PC Eagles beat Knoxville by the final of 25-18, 17-25, 25-16, 25-20 in a Little Hawkeye Conference match held in Knoxville Oct. 8.
The victory elevated the Eagles to 13-14 overall and to 3-2 in the Little Hawkeye Conference.
Tess Howerzyl helped the Eagles gain the victory by going 20-of-21 at the service line with a team high five aces. Lauren Jungling also served well 21-of-22 with two aces and Daphni Yarkosky added four ace serves.
Becca Gritters was the leading hitter for PC with 14 kills followed by Maddison Fopma with nine, Jungling seven and Jora Vander Hart with six.
Jungling ran the offense and finished with 30 assists.
Defensive leaders for the Eagles were Bri Warden with 34 digs, Vander Hart with 27 and Howerzyl with 15.
Fopma finished with four blocks at the net and Logan De Graaf added three.
