Pella was just 1-2 in pool play at the Newton Tournament last Saturday.
The Dutch gained some momentum by sweeping the two consolation bracket contests to move its record to 11-14 overall.
In pool play the Dutch lost to Newton 21-17, 21-18 and to Carlisle 21-17, 18-21, 15-11. Pella beat Des Moines North 21-5, 21-4 in pool play.
In the consolation round the Dutch tripped up Knoxville 30-28 in a wild opening game and they closed the door on the Panthers 25-17 in game two.
Pella also beat the Eddyville-Blakesburg Rockets 15-25, 26-24, 15-9 in the consolation round of the Newton Cardinal Tournament.
Pella leaders for the day in each of the matchs were Shannon Ewing with eight kills, Makenna Bogaard five and Anna Van Roekel four in the Eddyville match. Regan Nelson had 16 assists in that match, Taelor Rempe 17 digs and Malloy Lynch 13.
Bogaard had four ace serves against the Rockets.
In the consolation win over the Panthers from Knoxville the Dutch had seven kills each from Jessica Holterhaus and Bogaard.
Nelson and Morgan Ernst each had nine assists against Knoxville. Rempe led in digs with 14 while Nelson added eight and Lynch six. Nelson led with three ace serves.
In the Carlisle match the Lady Dutch had 11 assists from Nelson and nine digs by Rempe and eight each by Ewing and Lynch.
Holterhaus added three blocks against the Carlisle Wildcats.
In the loss to the Newton Cardinals the Dutch had three ace serves and team high five kills from Kylie Roslien. Ewing also added five kills in the match while Rempe led in digs with 14 and Nelson in assists with 10.
In the lopsided victory over the Des Moines North Polar Bears the Dutch had four kills from Lauren Manecke and three from Sydney Vander Sluis.
Ernst had 13 assists against North while Manecke added two ace serves.
