---- — The Pella Christian Eagles started fast and never looked back as they topped the North Polk Comets in non-conference action Saturday.
PC Coach Larry Hessing got a well balanced scoring attack from the Eagles. Levi Jungling and Nate Haveman each popped in 13 points for the Eagles followed by Jared Van Wyk with 12, Coltin Collins 11 and Josh Posthuma with 10 points.
Sophomore starter Sebastian Baugh had a nice all-around game with six points, five rebounds and a team high four assists.
The Eagles finished the night hitting 25-of-41 field goal attempts for 61 percent shooting. At the foul line the Eagles were 20-of-28 for 71.4 percent.
North Polk struggled from the floor sinking just 19-of-53 shots for 35.8 percent. They were 5-of-21 from three-point range for 23.8 percent. The Comets managed to hit 17-of-26 foul shots for 65.3 percent.
Haveman pulled in eight rebounds and Collins snatched six in the win. Collins had four assists as did Baugh. Jared Van Wyk blocked two shots.
The Comets were paced by Junior Blake Brauer with 18 points and Dillon McBee with eight.
PC is now 6-5 for the season while the Comets slipped to 4-7 overall.
