---- — The Pella Christian varsity boys’ bowling team had their best outing of the season Saturday according to head coach Rod Blunck.
Nick Lanser was the high scorer for PC at 318. Jordan Pleima posted a 293 and Brandon Roozendaal scored 291. The Eagles had a real good baker game score of 845. Newton’s baker game was 745.
In the end the Newton Cardinals, bowling at home, still won the dual with a score of 2,387 compared to PC’s 2,273.
PC did not have enough girls for a varsity team again. Newton rolled a 2,121 team score.
The Eagles will head to Knoxville Saturday to compete in a triangular against Knoxville and Norwalk.
The meet is slated to start at 11 a.m. at Fairlane Bowl.
