---- — Pella climbed to the .500 mark with a solid 25-8, 26-24, 25-23 win over the Dallas Center-Grimes Fillies in dual action Tuesday, Sept. 24 in a match played in Grimes.
The victory moved the Pella High Lady Dutch to a mark of 10-10 overall and to 2-0 in the Little Hawkeye Conference.
Shannon Ewing was the hitting star for Pella with 14 kills. Makenna Bogaard added six kills along with Jessica Holterhaus.
Regan Nelson had 24 assists in the contest.
Taelor Rempe had 15 digs, Ewing 14 and Mallory Lynch a team-high 16 for the night.
Bogaard came up big at the net with eight blocks while Holterhaus added six and Nelson four.
Freshman Jenna Murphy was 18-of-19 serving while Lynch was 9-of-10 with two aces.
Ewing was 12-of-12 serving with one ace.
Pella travels across town to face the Pella Christian Eagles in a league match Tuesday, Oct. 1 with varsity play slated for 7:15 p.m.
