Pella senior Taelor Rempe honored

---- — DES MOINES—Sports Spotlight is proud to acknowledge these noteworthy high school athletes for their accomplishments in the sports of volleyball and football. These athletes have reached a high level of athleticism, while maintaining sportsmanship to its utmost degree.

Taelor Rempe, Sr, Pella – Rempe leads the Little Dutch volleyball team and Class 4A in digs per set (6.98) and total digs this season (349) through this past weekend’s action. Taelor also leads Pella in service aces with 21.

Auston Folsom, Jr, Spirit Lake – Folsom put on an impressive show in the Indians’ 41-0 victory over Forest City last week. He had seven receptions for 253 yards (36.1 yards per reception) and three touchdowns, which included a 99-yard catch and run for a score.

Sports Spotlight will recognize athletes each week, in addition to its commitment to the monthly recognition of all athletes in the Sports Spotlight magazine.

“One of our main goals as an organization is to foster not only good athletic performance, but also a dedication to sportsmanship,” said Sports Spotlight President Rush Nigut. “This is just another great way for us to do that. And the partnership with Hy-Vee and Horizon Milk is a perfect fit.”
