Van Polen – Schippers


The Chronicle

Pella — Connie Jo (Little) Schippers and Russell James Van Polen were united in marriage on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at North Bethel Christian Church in rural Jefferson Township, Mahaska County, Iowa by Reverend Lois Williams.   Host and Hostess were Mike Little, brother of the Bride, and Marsha Collins, sister of the Groom.  Connie is the daughter of Jim and Joanne (Scott) Day of Chariton, Iowa; and of the late Raymond Little.   Russell is the son of Jim and Marjorie (Baxter) Van Polen of Bussey, Iowa.   Children of the couple are Brandi Jo (Schippers) Strickler of Libertyville, Iowa, Scott Lee Schippers of Bussey, Iowa, and Lance James Van Polen of Bussey, Iowa.  Grandchildren are Jaxon Lee Strickler, Eva Jo Strickler, and Kyler Lee Schippers.

Connie is a graduate of Twin Cedars High School, Class of 1981.  Connie is employed as Mahaska County Deputy Treasurer in Oskaloosa, Iowa.  Russell is a graduate of Twin Cedars High School, Class of 1981 and Southwestern Community College, Class of 1983.  Russell is certified as a Master Electrician, he is employed by De Vries Electric in Pella, Iowa.

A reception was held in the Carmack Center at Lake Miami, following the ceremony.  The couple resides east of Bussey, Iowa, near Buxton.
