Lorinda Roorda and Aric Bradley were united in marriage on October 19, 2013, at Third Reformed Church in Pella with Pastor Kevin Korver officiating.
Parents of the bride are Jerry and Shaughn Roorda of Leighton. Parents of the groom are Dusty and Lindy Bradley of Pella. Grandparents of the bride are Ivan and Ruth Mulder of Pella, and the late Dale and Wilma Roorda of Leighton.
The groom’s grandparents are Don and Lois Bradley of Ottumwa and Doc Martin of Cantril. Lindley Visser, sister of the bride, was Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Alex Bradley, sister of the groom, Chelsea Waits, friend of the bride, Skyler Roorda, sister-in-law of the bride, Heidi Haustien, friend of the bride and Holly Becker, friend of the bride. Andrew Bradley, brother of the groom, served as Best Man. Groomsmen were friends Tanner Lind and Riley Cooper, Lance Roorda, brother of the bride and friends Ryan Bentzinger and Andrew Corum. Quinn Roorda, nephew of the bride, served as the Ring Bearer. Ushers were Mark Visser, brother-in law of the bride and Brady Bogaard, friend of the groom.
The bride was escorted by her father to a stage decorated with family heirlooms of antique picture frames and a dresser from the 1800s. Following their vows, the prayer of blessing was sung over the couple by Ivan Mulder, grandfather of the bride. After leaving the church in the 1917 Roorda family Model T, a reception was held at Zart 1312 in Des Moines.
The bride is a 2009 graduate of Pella High School and a 2012 graduate of Creighton University. The groom is a 2007 graduate of Pella Community High School and a 2012 graduate of Grandview.
The couple currently resides in Columbia, Missouri, where the Lorinda is completing her Master’s Degree in Art History with plans to obtain her Doctorate Degree and Aric works in Admissions for the University of Missouri.
