Van Kooten – Van Haaften

Pella — On Saturday, June 16, 2012 Kelsie Jo Van Kooten, the daughter of Kevin and Brenda Van Kooten of Lynnville, Iowa were united in marriage to Barry Davis Van Haaften, the son of David Van Haaften of Omaha, Nebraska. The ceremony was held at the Sully Christian Reformed Church in Sully, Iowa by Pastor Brian Ochsner.  A reception followed at the Friends Community Center in Lynnville.

The Maid of Honor was Kimmy Van Zee, best friend of the bride for 8 years. Bridesmaids were Amber Freeman, Alicia Schalla, and Leah Mills all friends of the bride, Laura Van Kooten, sister-in-law of the bride. The flower girl was Madison Van Zee and honorary flower girls were Aubrey and Lexi Van Kooten. The Best Man was Tyler Carlson, best friend of the groom for 18 years. Groomsmen were Zack Van Haaften, brother of the groom, Dylan Lee, friend of the groom, Corey Van Kooten, and Kyle Van Kooten both brothers of the bride. The ring bearer was Cole Van Kooten.

Kelsie is a 2009 graduate of Pella Christian High School and a 2012 graduate of DMACC with a registered nursing degree. She is currently employed at Pella Regional Health Center.

Barry is a 2009 graduate of Pella High School and a 2012 graduate of Indian Hills Community College with a degree in Automotive Technology. He is currently employed at EWI in Sully.

The honeymoon destination is still undecided but will take place in 2013. The couple will reside in New Sharon, Iowa.
