Dutch Fix

Owners Jason and Valerie Bandstra cut the ribbon to celebrate the opening of Dutch Fix’s new location.

Dutch Greeters welcomed Dutch Fix into the business’ new space on Dec. 4 with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Owners Valerie and Jason Bandstra brought their business into town after seeing the “immense” amount of people that visited Pella during Tulip Time. The Bandstras had previously been asked if expanding their business was something they had considered, and after thinking it over for a while, decided a storefront was the right idea.

“It was a divine intervention that we ended up here,” Jason said. “Things are going well. It’s been crazy.”

Dutch Fix’s new space includes indoor seating and a larger menu featuring more traditional Dutch food.

“We wanted to keep the same Dutch concept, the same Dutch food. Tulip Time food basically,” Jason said.

Dutch Fix’s new menu now includes items such as Dutch tacos, herring, a pickled herring sandwich and frites, which are Dutch french fries. Other Dutch Fix staples such as poffertjes and stroopwafels are also included on the menu.

Dutch Fix’s new storefront is located at 621 Franklin St. The drive-thru location is closed for the season, but the Bandstras say it will reopen sometime in the spring.
